Seignette VS cognac to launch in UK

Hi-Spirits announce the launch of Seignette VS, a contemporary homage to the original Seignette cognac, established 200 years ago. Seignette VS’s fresh aesthetic and depth of flavour is set to engage a new generation of cognac lovers and inspire bartenders with its extensive versatilityfor cocktails and mixed drinks.

The History of SeignetteThe Seignette family can be traced back to the 17th century Western French coast, known as prominent traders in salt and cognac in the La Rochelle region. Their coat of arms is recognised by a swan, which historically populated the banks of the Charente River in Cognac, as well as being a symbol of power, grace and elegance. The swan features on the Seignette VS label in tribute to the family’s legacy.

Seignette VS is a modern-day cognac with notes of dried apricot, vanilla and hints of honeysuckle on the nose, followed by oaky vanilla notes, a touch of citrus and a long, creamy finish on the palate. It’s fresh, with depth and flavour, perfect for mixed drinks and in cocktails.

Method: Pour into a highball glass over plenty of ice, stir, garnish and enjoy.

  • 150ml Appletise or Cawston Sparkling apple juice
  • Apple and lemon slice garnish

SVS Spritz

  • 40ml Seignette VScognac
  • 10ml Carpano Botanic Bitters
  • ½ Passion Fruit 
  • 10ml Lime juice
  • 20ml Sugar syrup
  • Sparkling wine –we recommend Crémant
  • Orange slice garnish

Method: Shake allbut the sparkling wine with ice, strain into a chilled cocktailor wineglassover ice,and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with an orange twist.
